Summer Vacation All I Ever Wanted

The newly expanded family went on their first summer vacation. Isabella did quite well in the car - she demands a break from driving only every 3 hours. Isabella had a great time seeing upstate New York and Montreal. We were very surprised when during tummy time Isabella decided to roll over on to her back. To make sure it wasn't a fluke we forced her to do it a few times and she didn't disappoint. Soon she'll be driving.

Holding Head High

Isabella has done a great job holding her head up. She's almost ready to roll over... at least that's what her excited parents thought today! Even Riley got in on the action.

She Smiles... at a Poster

We have one of those vintage french posters that has a woman and some dogs on it above Isabella's pack n' play in our living room. I don't know what type of bonding has been going on between the babe and that poster but everytime she looks at it she smiles and coo's. Isabella really doesn't like it when a bottle is taken away from her to be burped - she lets out a funny squeal - but as soon as she see's that poster it's all smiles which I caught on camera. I'm starting to think the poster is possessed.

A week of firsts!

Isabella had some firsts this week to celebrate. She went into the city to watch her dad play some beach volleyball, went into Hoboken to visit with friends and went to the grocery store for the first time. It's not easy being 9 weeks old and so cute.

It's been a busy week so far

Isabella crashed cousin Colleen's 14th birthday party up in Westchester on Sunday. She even managed to convince Great Grandma Ruth and Uncle Packy to hold her for a bit. You can tell Isabella is growing quite nicely since she looks like she's busting out of her outfit.I think I caught Isabella working on an internal but in-progress external project in this picture. There's definitely something going on. Now we're just showing off some of those adorable eye lashes and that cute little pout. This girl has a pucker to rival Shiloh's.

Staring Contest

Not sure who won this contest... could have been a draw. I knew Isabella was serious about this when she dropped the pacifier while staring Riley down and didn't cry. She did enjoy the chair Uncle Russ got for her quite a bit.

Just Another Day

Isabella got to spend some quality time with her auntie Kim on Friday. She's very excited to meet Kim's parents at dinner on Tuesday since they'll be driving in all the way from Michigan. Isabella may even have a new outfit to show off. Isabella was so good today. She got some vaccinations which almost caused mommy to pass out but took it like a champ. She even managed to smile and laugh when we got home. Gotta love that smile!
